Department of Kayachikitsa

The Department offers teaching and training modules of general medicine, panchakarma,Ayurvedic psychiatry, and geriatrics. The Department has models of panchakarma, charts and specimens. The Department is conducting special O.P. of hridayaroga, prameha and manasika. Paralyze, Rhumatoid arthritis, Muscular Dystrophy patients successfully treated by Panchakarama. TheroxVasantik, VamanKriya camps successfully organized for Asthmatic patients and Ch. Rhinitis

Department of ShalyaTantra

The scope of this department has reach into Orthopedics, surgery and para surgical techniques. Uncomplicated acute orthopedic conditions as well as chronic spinal and joint pathologies constitutes the orthopedic segment. Teaching and training of general surgery as well as limited practice of ano-rectal surgeries constitute the surgical discipline. Ksharasoothra (caustic cauteries), agnikarma (thermo cautery), rektha moksha (blood letting)are the outstanding parasurgical techniques practiced. The department organizes Anorectal camps at periodical intervals.

Department of ShalakyaTantra

The Department offers teaching and training modules in Ophthalmology, oto-rhino laryngology and dentistry. The department has modern clinical investigation tools to like ophthalmoscopy, laryngoscopy, toscopy and provisions for visual acuity and dark room attached for refraction studies. Clinical training is regular. The Department has a collection of charts, models. The department has a research work on Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (Poothikarna) in progress.

Ophthalmic departments has well equipped O.P.D. with slif lamp, A-scalp, Keratometer and anterior meter and O.T. with ophthalmic operating microscope and Dy-chalazion done on regular intervals.

Also Ayurvedicnetrakapis as Netratarpan/Bidalak/Anjan and prisheketc given to specific patients of high myopia/retinopathies and allergic eye disorders as sphring catarrh.

Department of Pamchakarma
